Apple has announced updates to its iPad Pro and iMac product lines during its Spring Loaded event. The new iPad Pro features an M1 chip, the same processor used in Apple's latest MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and Mac Mini. This new chip is said to improve performance and graphics capabilities while also extending battery life. The new iPad Pro also features a new Liquid Retina XDR display with mini-LED technology for improved contrast and color accuracy.
The iMac has also received a major overhaul with a new design and the M1 chip. The new iMac is thinner and features a 24-inch 4.5K Retina display with True Tone technology. Apple claims the new iMac is up to 85% faster than the previous generation, with up to 3x faster graphics performance. The new iMac also includes a 1080p FaceTime HD camera and a six-speaker sound system.
Both the new iPad Pro and iMac will be available for pre-order starting April 30th, with shipping beginning in the second half of May.
